Booking Terms and Conditions

Thank you for booking your lessons with “The Snow Institute” “TSI” “TSI Snowsports Ltd”

All bookings are subject to the following booking terms & conditions;

Booking

A deposit of 50% is required at the time of booking. The balance is due 6 weeks before your date of arrival in resort. When a booking is made less than 6 weeks before your arrival, payment in full is due by the date on the invoice. All lessons have to be paid in full, before the start of your first lesson. With payment of a 50% deposit or full payment, you are agreeing to our “Booking Terms and Conditions”
No contract will exist with TSI until you receive a confirmation of payment email from us, accepting your payment.

Insurance

You must have in place the appropriate insurance to cover lesson cancellation on your part due to illness, no travel to resort, lift closure due to bad weather or lack of snow, force majeure, third party liability, loss or damage to property, accident cover and rescue from the hill.
The Snow Institute and our instructors will not be held liable for any injuries, loss or damage to property during your ski lesson.

No refund will be given by TSI, in whole or in part, for unused lessons due to the late arrival of a client, illness, accident or lift closure due to weather conditions, mechanical failure or for any cause outside the instructor’s or TSI’s control. We will provide you with a letter for your insurance company to process a claim for these.

The Instructor & TSI have the right to cancel lessons or courses at any time. In these cases, a full refund of the unused lessons will be made.

Client Commitments

Clients should ensure that they are in a fit and safe condition to take part in physical activity in a mountain environment.
Clients should make every effort to be on time for their lessons booked with TSI and will notify the instructor if delayed by telephone (as per meeting details). With Private Lessons, the instructor will wait for a max of 15mins at the meeting point, they will also try to contact you. Group Lessons, the instructor will wait for a max of 5mins at the meeting point, they will then go, do a lap of the nearest chair and sweep back via the meeting point, so please wait here if you are late. After this, if you have not made contact with the instructor, they will not come back to find you.
It is your responsibility to contact the instructor if you are late or delayed, failure to do so will mean that you will lose your lesson and no refund will be issued. TSI will not be held liable for your late arrival.

Children, we reserve the right to ask parents to remove their children from a lesson if they are ill, not safe due to their behaviour or inappropriately dressed. No refund will be issued in these cases.

No refunds can be made for people taking part in any lessons that are not of the required standard, who have not provided the correct information at the time of booking or who’s level has changed since making the booking to their arrival in resort and who have not informed us of this change.

It is a condition of booking, that all clients respect the instructor’s judgement, regarding safety, your level of skiing, ability and weather conditions on the mountain.

Group Lessons

Group lessons will need a min of people to confirmed these to run their full duration. We will always offer you an option at the time of booking, if min numbers are not reached, to either pay for the extra person or reduce total hours.

Cancellation Policy

In event of a cancellation on your part the following fees will apply;

  • More than 57 days (8 wks+) before arrival; 30% of booking would apply as cancellation fee and is non-refundable
  • From 56 days (8wks) to 29 days (4wks+) before arrival; 50% of booking would apply as cancellation fee
  • From 28 days (4wks) to 15 days (2wks+) before arrival; 70% of booking would apply as cancellation fee
  • From 14 days (2wks) to arrival date; 100% of booking would apply as cancellation fee

Consent to Medical Treatment

“You” (the attendee or parent/guardians of attendees under the age of 18) hereby consent to emergency medical treatment being provided to the attendee and authorise any TSI Instructor to sign or consent to medical treatment that may be required by the health care provider. All reasonable steps will be taken to contact the parent, guardian or emergency contact in the event that medical attention is required by the attendee. “You” agree to pay all costs associated with such medical care or attention, for related transportation for their child. “You” agree to indemnify and to keep indemnified TSI Snowsports Ltd “The Snow Institute” “TSI” for and in respect of any such costs incurred.

Medical Information

At the time of booking, please be honest regarding any medical conditions or any information that will help TSI and the instructor to provide you with the best lessons for your needs. Any medical information that is withheld which can lead to changes in level or ability to participate in the lessons booked, could mean that we can’t accommodate your booking once in resort (in the case of group lessons) no refund will be given in these cases.

Publicity and Media

By agreeing to these booking terms & conditions, TSI Snowsports LTD “The Snow Institute” ”TSI” is authorised to use any footage, photos or videos of the “client” including footage taken of under 18yrs by the instructors for TSI’s website, social media, leaflets, etc.
You “The Client” also agrees that this footage will remain property of TSI Snowsports LTD. If you wish for us to not use any footage, please do let us know at the time of booking.

Newsletter

By booking with TSI you will automatically be signing up to our newsletter. As per Data Protection, your details have not been shared with anyone or any 3rd parties, we “TSI” are the only ones with access to these.
We only send a Newsletter out every now and again, please feel free to unsubscribe if you are not interested.

Complaints

If, at any time during your lessons, you are not happy with your progress or you have a complaint, please let us know immediately, so that we can address the situation straight away.
Please don’t wait until you are back at home, as at this point, we won’t be able to do anything to try and provide you with an alternative.

The contract will be governed, construed and interpreted in accordance with English law and the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute arising out of or in connection with the contract.

The Snow Institute is a trading name of TSI Snowsports Ltd, Company no. 07651245 registered in England.

TSI Snowsports Ltd is a booking agent for The Snow Institute, a French ski instructors syndicate.
