The Snow Institute (TSI) is a British-run ski school based in Morzine, Les Gets and Avoriaz in the Portes du Soleil, operating for over 20 years. We offer private ski lessons, adult and children's group lessons, confidence building ski lessons, off-piste guiding, adaptive lessons and performance clinics, all matched carefully to your level, goals and the right instructor from day one.

Amazing beginner ski lessons from Lisa and Mo . Both my boys ( age 8 and 10 ) had never been skiing before and had a wonderful experience with the TSI instructors. We couldn’t believe how their skiing came on, and they had so much fun . Thank you Lisa and Mo ! We will definitely book lessons with TSI again. Thanks so much for an amazing week for our boys !
I had a 2 hrs lesson for the third year in a row with Gavin. It achieved exactly what I wanted and expected, namely reminding me of the basic principles of carving and giving me the confidence to get on with it on the slopes. I’ll be back to book for next year once I’ve arranged my accommodation!
Just to say a huge thank you to Lisa and Ali for looking after Ted & Tom, the lessons were great and Ted has been telling everyone about his skiing.
We had Mikey for a two hour lesson. We were very happy with it. He was friendly and approachable, listened to what we wanted and gave clear instructions to help bring us on. We really felt we benefited from the session and would gladly book him again.

What ski level do I need for a group lesson?
We cater for all levels from complete beginner to advanced. During booking we ask about your previous experience so we can place you in the right group with the right instructor for your ability.
How many people are in a TSI group lesson?
Our adult group lessons have a maximum of 4 people per group.
Our kids group lessons have a maximum of 4/6 children, depending on option booked.
We keep groups small to ensure you get enough individual attention and make meaningful progress.
Can I book lessons across multiple resorts in one week?
Absolutely. We operate across Morzine, Les Gets and Avoriaz and can arrange lessons at different resorts across the same week all availability dependent.
What if I'm unsure which lesson type is right for me?
Just get in touch before you book. We're always happy to talk through your options and help you choose the right lesson, resort and instructor for your level and goals.
Do you offer lessons for children or beginners?
Yes. We offer dedicated children's group ski lessons in Morzine, Les Gets and Avoriaz, as well as private lessons for complete beginners of any age. Our instructors are experienced in teaching first-timers and building confidence from scratch.
