Ali Gibb

Qualification: BASI Level 4 ISTD
Nationality: British
Languages Spoken: English & French
Ali hails from Rutland and started her skiing career on a Lincolnshire dry slope before moving on to the dizzying heights of alpine green runs in Les Arcs. Family ski holidays led her to a winter season as a chalet girl in Chatel before going back to Uni to do her Masters. The Masters didn’t happen but teaching skiing did and 9 years later she has settled in Morzine.
She spent 6 years teaching on the other side of the Portes du Soleil ski area in Torgon and Chatel and the other side of the world at Mt Hotham in Australia.
She now stays here in Morzine during the summer running road bike holidays and teaching mountain biking. She spends most of her time riding up (slowly!) the hills you will be skiing down.

Alex has been a ski instructor in Morzine since 2000 and spent a season in New Zealand for a change of scenery. During the summer Alex is glued to his bike busy running his road cycling business YelloVelo.
Hobbies: Road cycling, road cycling, road cycling!

A born and bred northerner, Mike hails from Kendal in the Lake District (Where the Mintcake is from!).
With strong family roots in skiing, Mike first clicked into a pair at the age of 3.5 yrs. After family holidays abroad and hiking up to the Lake District Ski Club hut, recreational skiing turned into racing around the UK dry-slope circuit from the age of 11.
Winter seasons then took hold and after a few different locations (and a couple of years off trying to get a “proper job”), Mike settled into life in the PDS and the instructor life began properly in 2010 teaching on the Swiss side of the area before making the move to teach based in France.
He now lives here year round, enabling him to enjoy his other main passion, mountain bikes!
When he’s not skiing, or throwing himself down through the rocks and roots on a mtb, Mike enjoys walking, kayaking, ski-touring, dreaming of skiing and biking, and having a huge love of Percy Pigs!
