Ski Touring
Our off piste and ski touring experiences are available as 2 hour, 3 hour, 4 hour and full-day private sessions for individuals and groups of up to six people.
Whether you're looking for an introduction to touring, improving your off piste technique or exploring some of the Portes du Soleil's hidden gems, we'll tailor the day around your goals, fitness level and snow conditions.

Do I need previous off piste experience?
No. We offer sessions for skiers taking their first steps into off piste skiing as well as more experienced skiers looking to develop their skills.
What skiing ability do I need?
For lift-assisted off piste skiing, you should be comfortable skiing parallel on red runs.
For introductory ski touring, you should also have a good level of fitness and feel comfortable skiing in variable snow conditions.
Do I need my own touring equipment?
No you don't need to own the equipment but you will need to rent it if you don't have any.
We can help you source any specialist equipment you may need, including touring skis and avalanche safety equipment.
Will I learn about avalanche safety?
Yes, if you are interested in learning more about this side of off piste skiing.
Where appropriate, sessions can include avalanche awareness, transceiver use, navigation and mountain safety, helping you understand the essential skills needed for travelling beyond the marked pistes.
Can groups of friends book together?
Private sessions are ideal for friends and families of a similar ability who want to enjoy an unforgettable mountain experience together.
Which resorts do you operate from?
Our off-piste and ski touring sessions operate throughout the Portes du Soleil, including Morzine, Les Gets and Avoriaz, depending on availability, conditions and your goals.
Is a full day ski lesson recommended?
Yes.
While shorter sessions are available, we usually recommend a full day for ski touring or longer off piste adventures, giving you plenty of time to explore the mountains and make the most of the experience.
